So it’s been a long time since I’ve written a blog but what better day then New Year’s Eve a day to reflect on all the highs and lows of the year.
Here I am laying on my sofa with my 10 month old son, watching Madagascar we watch this at least 3 times a day.
Firstly I’m lucky enough to say I haven’t had many lows however the lows I did have were pretty horrendous. So firstly we said goodbye to my old boy cat Rocky. He sadly passed after suffering with severe kidney failure. Secondly we tragically lost a family member to knife crime. Although it will not change the devastation left behind, thankfully justice was served for those involved.
So on to the good, the start of the year saw my partner Sean and I welcoming our little baby boy Alfie into the world. Although child birth was by far the worst experience of my life, our life is so much richer for having this little boy in it. Alfie is an independent, smiley and beautiful little boy who makes us laugh daily.
Secondly Beaute elite permanent makeup has grown phenomenally! There are now 2 additional members to the team. October saw my partner Sean join the team. Sean looks after all the marketing, admin and gives me a boot up the bum when needed. Sean has also recently started his own scalp micropigmentation business called Peaky Hairlines, he offers a hair loss solution for men and women. The other new member is my wonderful trainee Verity. I have trained Verity in all the latest Russian techniques to be able to offer amazing Russian volume brows. Verity picked up the technique very quickly and is already flying solo. Verity currently has brows on offer for a short period of time whilst she is building up her portfolio. Also towards the back end of the year I developed and introduced the Beaute elite permanent makeup school. The school is for technicians that have already had some form of training to improve and develop their skills and to learn my unique technique bought all the way from Russia. I decided to start the school as I know how hard this job is and how many different elements you have to get right to deliver the perfect healed result. Unfortunately nowadays there’s so many inadequate schools and cheap training that just set people up to fail. I’m on a mission to re-educate and support other people in the industry, 2020 will see this as my main focus.
And lastly Sean and I bought our first family home together another milestone in our relationship.. just waiting for him to put a ring on it now! Ha!
So what will 2020 bring,
Well there’s lots in the pipe line regarding the business and personal life. Beauté Elite Permanent Makeup is set to expand further and I suppose you’ll just have to watch this space to find out how.
